Currently, there are twenty-four A.B.A.T.E. (American Bikers for Awareness, Training and Education) Minnesota Chapters located throughout the state. Each of these chapters are represented by the A.B.A.T.E. Board of Directors (BOD). The BOD also includes the A.B.A.T.E. State Officers and meets each quarter to discuss the operation of the organization. All members are encouraged to attend these meetings.
There are A.B.A.T.E. organizations and chapters across the United States who share the focus to promote the positive aspects of motorcycling and support the right of motorcyclists by being actively involved with local, state and national political issues. Safer motorcycling, reducing accidents and fatalities can be best accomplished by education and training of both the motorcyclists and the general public, not necessarily through additional legislation.
Our ability to enjoy many freedoms while riding motorcycles in Minnesota is the direct result of the work done by motorcyclists in our state. These people have joined together to fight for our rights and freedoms. The efforts of these people have made Minnesota a leader in motorcycle safety. We have one of the toughest licensing standards in the nation, the best public awareness programs and the most comprehensive rider education programs in the nation. These efforts have helped reduce motorcycle accidents, injuries and fatalities, in spite of the growing number of licensed motorcyclists in Minnesota.
To continue these efforts we need your support and participation. A.B.A.T.E. membership is open to anyone interested in promoting freedom of choice, whether or not you own or ride a motorcycle. The fact that we share an interest in motorcycling is more important than the style or make of motorcycle we may ride. Become an A.B.A.T.E. Member today and join other members who are committed to protecting and preserving the rights of motorcyclists in Minnesota. All members receive Road Noise, A.B.A.T.E. of Minnesota, Inc. monthly news publication keeping members informed about political issues, promoting safe and responsible riding, and listing all A.B.A.T.E. meetings, events, contests and community service projects. A.B.A.T.E. is fun, educational and a great way to meet people and make new friends. With your help, we can continue to promote the positive image of motorcyclists.
Not an A.B.A.T.E. member yet? Tri-County Chapter members invite you to attend our next monthly Chapter Meeting. Come to our next meeting as our guest and learn about some of the initiatives A.B.A.T.E. is pursuing to promote and support motorcycling. We are confident that if you share the same high level of enthusiasm, dedication, and passion for motorcycling as that of our members; you will leave the meeting as an A.B.A.T.E. member.
We look forward to meeting you!
